The sticker on a field service software homepage is rarely the number that hits the card. The monthly plan is one line. Implementation, payment processing, extra logins, routing or GPS add-ons, and the accounting connector you actually use are the rest of the bill. Shops that search “jobber pricing” or “servicetitan pricing” are usually trying to model that full number — not collect a star rating.

Pricing models: per-seat vs flat-rate vs custom quote
Three ways field service software is sold. The model matters more than a remembered homepage number.
Per-seat (per user or per technician)
You pay for named logins or techs. The first user can look cheap. The tenth login is a conversation with finance. Confirm whether office staff, part-time techs, and the owner each count as a seat, and whether a plan band already includes a set number of users.
Flat-rate (one shop price)
One published monthly number for a member band, not a fee per login. ServBuilder’s public list works this way: Starter $79/mo for up to 5 team members, Professional $199/mo for up to 15 team members. Growing inside the band does not raise the software line. Crossing the band does.
Custom quote
Common when a vendor describes per-technician pricing and asks you to book a demo. The quote often bundles implementation, a term, and modules that are not on a public card. Write down what is included before you compare it to a published monthly number.
Variable costs to ask about
General buying questions — not accusations against any named competitor. Confirm each item on the vendor’s current site.
Implementation and onboarding
Ask whether setup is self-serve, included, or a separate project. A custom-quote product can take weeks. A published card with “no setup fee” still needs someone to import customers and train the office. Confirm who does that work and whether it is billed.
Payment processing
Online and card-present payments usually carry a processor rate on top of the software plan. Ask for today’s rate, whether ACH is cheaper, and whether payouts sit in the same invoice as the subscription. Do not treat “payments included” as “payments are free.”
Add-ons you will actually use
Routing, GPS, a customer portal, AI tools, extra storage, and marketing modules are often sold above the base plan. List the features that would change your week, then ask which tier includes them. Marketing copy and the feature matrix on the same site sometimes disagree — prefer the matrix.
Integrations and books
QuickBooks Online, Xero, Desktop, payroll, and inventory connectors can be plan-gated or partner-priced. If a connector is load-bearing, confirm it on the vendor’s current page before you model a switch. ServBuilder documents QuickBooks Online on Professional and above — not Desktop, and not Xero.

ServBuilder public list, re-checked 22 September 2026 on /pricing. Live wording on that page is “Flat-rate pricing. No per-seat fees. No contracts.” Figures below come from those cards and the feature comparison matrix — not from marketing blurbs that list GPS or payments as if they sat on every plan.
Starter is $79/mo for up to 5 team members and up to 25 active jobs. The card includes basic scheduling, the iOS and Android app, AI quoting, and email support. Annual billing is about 20% off ($63/mo equivalent on the pricing toggle).
Professional is $199/mo for up to 15 team members and unlimited jobs. The matrix adds smart dispatching, online payments, QuickBooks Online, route optimization, GPS tracking, and the customer portal. Annual billing is about 20% off ($159/mo equivalent). We do not have unlimited users on Professional.
Enterprise is custom: unlimited jobs and members, custom integrations, full API access, a white-label app, AI auto-scheduling, multi-location management, and a dedicated support SLA. AI auto-scheduling is Enterprise only. AI quoting is on every plan.

There is no setup fee on the public cards. Paid plans are month-to-month; the FAQ says no annual contract and cancel anytime.

If the shop needs smart dispatching, online payments, QuickBooks Online, route optimization, GPS, or the customer portal, Professional is the published plan even at 1–5 members — those gates are Professional+ on the /pricing matrix.
